It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved president and founder, Kenneth L. Ingram. Although he spent his semi-retirement years in Arizona and then Florida, Dayton was always home. Ken loved the University of Dayton Flyers, the Wright State Raiders, and spent countless hours mastering his golf game on area courses. He was recognized as a trusted advisor to local law firms, numerous physicians and business owners.
Ken had a passion for life-long learning and earned numerous professional designations throughout his career. Ken held the designations of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU®), Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC®), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC). Ken had also received the National Quality Award by the National Association of Life Underwriters. He based his business on the principal of always doing what is right for the client. We are honored to have so many long-standing clients because of the foundation Ken built.
Always the pioneer, Ken established TermQuote®, one of the first nationwide quoting services. Before the internet was invented, the company’s growth was fueled by referrals, repeat clients, third party endorsements. TermQuote® was promoted in numerous books, newspapers and magazines.
The principles Ken instilled are still in practice today at TermQuote®: “We are honest and knowledgeable”. One of his favorite sayings was “Always do right; this will gratify some people and astonish the rest”. Thank you for the privilege of continuing your legacy, Ken. Enjoy your heavenly tee-time and endless glass of red!
Love, Drew, Kathy, Michelle, Julie & Steve.
